Ew
Very normal at MBB
eww... it's one of those common meetings that PMO pushes for, you know why
Yuuuuuup
That’s called micromanagement unless it’s been requested by the team to stay on track
Yeah that’s mismanagement by the leader then. I’ve definitely had to do daily check ins when people weren’t performing or when there was so much going on that it was necessary (see note about requested by the team), but never from the start. Sorry that you’re having this and I hope it gets better soon.
I mean I check in with the team in the morning to say hey and set them up on stuff if they need to or to game plan the day and talk about the engagement - after that I really don’t want needless meetings and just ping a “hey you good?” if a couple hours go by and I have other stuff I want them to help with
Based on project.
Normal when things are burning or a very short/fast turnaround engagement.
Ew
Depends where your team members are. I tend to have a decent amount of colleagues in India, so my projects have often had US morning touch points with everyone where the India colleagues can update us on their progress and then US evening touch points with just US colleagues where they update us with their progress and then we can decide if they need to hand over anything to India before we log off
Ain’t nobody got time for that
Depends on the project. Current one we are doing 4 days a week in the morning. Last project was morning + evening 6 days a week
Isn’t this what teams messages are for?
ok yeah I’m in a horrible team, even for sprint retro they talk about “features” and “bugs”. They think that’s going to impress the clients.

Sounds like the typical EY style micromanager!
yes higher chance of me getting tagged as difficult to work with as I do not present myself for getting micromanaged. This is such a light engagement, clients are sweethearts, despite that they have middle managers spoiling it for everyone. And ofcourse they filled up the team with only people who don’t speak up.
