Most desirable areas of corporate transactional to practice if considering working in biglaw in a foreign country as a US lawyer (E.g. UK, Singapore, UAE?)

How often do you respond to emails from law students who want to learn about your firm/practice area? I get like a dozen requests right around OCI every year. Frankly I’m tired of speaking to them and answering the same boring questions, especially if I know they have a low GPA and no chance of summering at my firm, but I do feel bad saying no/ignoring them

Have any of you vets felt crappy and found out it was low testosterone? I recently had a blood test and found this out myself, from looking online it appears that this is pretty common in a lot of vets and men in general. Conventional wisdom on current firm counter-offering when mentioning you have a few offers? I have an offer at a large firm in Miami. Current large firm has no office there but mentioned they can likely let me be there in a remote basis. BCG and a few other law blog sites have advised against accepting current firm counter-offers, e.g., likely to leave, not loyal, off partner track, etc., but would love to hear everyone’s thoughts.

Any BigLaw tax groups not slammed/understaffed nowadays? We're in middle of our second big wave of departures since January without a single replacement yet, and it's looking like time to escape (unless every tax group is experiencing this).

If you do billable work on a given PTO/vacation day, do you still count that day as vacation? Or do you get that vacation day "back"? Or do you only get the part that you billed "back"? (Or some other option.)
