Do you mean peninsula? South Bay is too far for airport. Look at San Carlos, Daly City, Brisbane, burlingame

SJC is THE.BEST. 15 min to get in and out of the airport. LITERALLY the best. It’s never crowded. Lots of flights. It’s so convenient. Relative to that, I HATE SFO with a vengeance

I live in Redwood City. We’re 20-30 minutes from SFO depending on traffic and equidistant from the San Jose airport. SFO is bigger and generally has better flights, but it doesn’t hurt to have both options. Redwood City feels younger and like it has a bit more happening than Menlo Park. There are also quite a few managed buildings in downtown Redwood City that have opened up over the past few years. And we’re a bullet stop on the Caltrain (important for going into the city). Overall I like it. Happy to share details or recs on specific spots.

I may have used the term South Bay incorrectly then… so are you saying Redwood City is too far from the airport? I mean her firm will pay for taxis and traveling won’t be weekly

Welcome!!!!!! Define expensive and how much space you want. In the peninsula look at San Bruno, Redwood City. East bay has the best VFM. Santa Clara, San Jose, Will Glen in the South Bay. Stay away from Cupertino, Saratoga, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, San Mateo, Burlingame and SF.

I think you can do 4K for a 2bh. I’m a little further south and we’ll be putting our 1700 sqft 3/2 on rent soon with backyard and front yard for 4950, so 4 k should be totally doable
