I wish this was more lively.
Newbie to investing and never invested in a company that went through a reverse stock split.
In theory, I understand the market value should increase but I’m not seeing this reflected in the price and naturally my book value/ share is very disappointing.
A) When should I anticipate the stock appreciation to occur?
B) What’s the next move for companies that do this? Issue more shares?
TIA!

Why wouldn’t you want your firm to know? Going in house to a client is typically viewed favorably by firms.

Yeah, I’m gonna disagree with this. Respectfully, this advice ignores context and incentives (partners are usually supportive of real opportunities to strengthen client relationships and long-term goodwill). There are firms/groups/partners who will support, and even *help facilitate*, an in-house move, depending on the circumstances. And going in house TO A CLIENT is viewed very differently than your typical in house role or a lateral to a competing law firm. The analysis is fact-specific and relationship-driven.

Sometimes my firm tries to get people hired at clients when they decide that the person isn’t going to make it in the long run. It’s a “nice” way to push them out and helping them get the job means the firm will (hopefully) gain an ally at the client that will send more work over. If that’s not your situation, I would apply and not publicize it, but if your firm finds out it’s probably not the end of the world. It’s not the betrayal and risk that going to a competing firm would be.
