Me and My so presently live in Arkansas, living in our first home with a child 4 year, both of us recently changed our jobs and have HHI ~ 420K, current mortgage 1600/month. So my fiancée and I are relatively late in terms of finally landing well paying jobs and being able to save money instead of living paycheck to paycheck. We’re both 36 and currently rent a 2 bedroom in NY and have a combined savings of $35,000 which she wants to use as a down payment on a condo. I kinda just wanna continue saving while renting. I also literally just started contributing to my 401K so I’m also late in the game for that too.

Is it still worth buying Tesla stock? Especially after rising so much since year start?

I am trying to justify house buying in HCOL city. The house cost is minimum 1.4m .monthly mortgage would be at least 7k(with just around 2k principal) rest goes to either int,tax. Not to mention regular house maintenance. How is it better than 3.5k rental. I understand appreciation and own house independence. But I am just trying to make numbers work.

Is there a way to get closer to the 58000 total contribution limits in a 401k after initial contributions up the 19500 limit? My employer match isn’t great but I’ve maxed out my contributions this year and they’ve only added an additional 1500 so I’ll be at 21k total in the account for the year. How can I get more in there to bridge that 37k gap? Or can I?
