Our nation saw a disheartening surge in covid cases. Amidst these tough and painful times, the doctors, nurses, and hospital staff continue to work day in and day out for our safety, our lives.
Calling you to join hands, as we raise funds to show them a token of gratitude with a small care package.
A ray of light to those who deserve #AThousandThankYous 🙏🏻

I don’t see this online, where/what is it?
Top Golf and Improv are great starts!
Take them to Padre’s or Sonoma Oak Forest for wine. Both are excellent. Or if you want to venture further, Sixty Vines in rice village is lovely for wine and a nice meal on adults night, and you could shop around before/after.
Going to NASA is also a cool experience for out of town folks, easy to bring the kids and kill an afternoon/stay out of the heat.
Astros game is also a good family activity/typically inexpensive early in the season.
We also like bringing out of towners to La Lucha in the heights for dinner. Amazing food and environment but not fussy, and can bring the kids.
Thank you!!
Right near NASA is Ellington field with an aviation museum if they are into that. The Houston natural science museum and zoo are cool and so is the botanical garden
Taking them for a day of shopping to the galleria is nice. Be a bit bougie with 70 year olds. Go to the Laura hotel or another nice autograph collection with a spa and get them a couples massage while you get one for yourself when you have babysitting
Restaurants are covered in a ton of other threads so do those. My personal favorite is Masraffs.
Otherwise like any city: escape rooms, rooftop bars, improv, concerts, fireworks, sports events. Houston has everything any other big city has. The symphony may be in town so I’d check that. Depending on how old your kids are they have shows from Peppa pig and bluey to icecapades and others.
Just google everything because the totality of it is on a lot of different websites

You don’t gotta go far- I live in heights too.
Loft 18> top golf 100% will get same enjoyment with bar scene but also kid friendly. It’s virtual golf in sawyer yards- have soccer, zombie dodge ball etc. check it out.
If they are coming on the second Saturday of the month, second Saturdays are cool- check it out. Free and you can walk around open art studios and also kid friendly with holler and buff brew (great 2nd and 3rd story deck).
Postino nice during the day and 5 before 6 every day. We bring my toddler with us and it’s a good vibe every time.
Rudyards for comedy. Montrose and chill. And you can make a night of short little Ubers around there for dinner/drinks after. I think it’s riot comedy online. They have open mic night- Dave Chappell showed up a few years ago.
If it’s a nice day out by chance- pop over to eastern glades or the bayou park- if you have a dog maybe Johnny steel but idk what’s happening with the dog covid- we have t been lately.
Heights theatre for a random show - if it’s lame head to a spot for a drink on 19th (love showing ppl the historic street)
If they really like golfing or something, can go hit balls at memorial - becks prime is in the clubhouse so again kid friendly to hang grab a beer and chill - or get him a tee time.
If you gotta go grocery shopping and want to sneak a glass of wine in… Kroger on 11th in the afternoon has a bar
Oh ya, maybe china town for lunch with everyone which is a bit of a drive.
Get reservations tho at spots. Good co. Cantina is fun with a little group, better than el t in my opinion.

Coffee shops like EQ, antidote, empire cafe for breakfast activities. Don’t stress it the heights is so flexible to roll with it. Half the fun I have when people come visit is not having a plan but then being like “what y’all in the mood for” and boom 2 minutes doing that.
My husband and I recently did a date night at Well Done cooking classes and agreed it would be a great thing to do with guests! We’re planning on bringing my in-laws during their next visit. Not really unique to Houston, but a fun indoor activity! It’s also byob, or they have very inexpensive wine and beer for purchase.
