My calendar is full, but it’s full of internal stuff: pipeline reviews, enablement, territory planning, “strategy sessions.” Meanwhile, prospecting keeps getting pushed to “later today,” which turns into never. Does anyone have a realistic way to protect outbound time when leadership wants constant visibility? I’m trying to stay proactive without living in meetings.

That's not an uncommon problem, management will often fail to prioritize prospecting. It falls to each individual to make time for it, which means getting other things accomplished quickly. A lot of the job comes down to time management, finding ways to streamline or quickly dispense with things which don't have a lot of promise.

I’m in discussions to become the GC of a mid size but international company that does ~$1 billion in annual revenue. Smallish legal department. They’ve asked for my comp expectations. I don’t have specific expectations but I want to be compensated at least market for a NYC based GC (which looks like cash comp of at least $300k plus bonus, etc). Any suggestions on how people would respond?

“Job hopper” and “quiet quitting” are all schemes made up by boomers to make you think everything is the employees fault. When in reality people are just getting out of bad situations. Older companies do whatever they can to pay you the least amount and get the max work out of you. Except our generation will just leave amid we’re being mistreated, not complain for 35 years making 50k and 0 advancement.

I was interviewed for a major tech player in the hospitality industry, had 2 interviews which for the first one the recruiter was late, and didn't confirm the interview while I emaild her to make sure I do have an interview. When she attended she said that there was no point of responding my email as we are meeting anyway. Later on I had 2nd interview with the hiring manager. After 45 minutes she said they will let me know...

2 months later and I am still waiting...

I left my job about a year ago to relocate, make sure it was the right decision and start a side business in the mean time. Now I’m actively looking for a new sales position, have tons of experience, but am struggling to even get a response from job apps. I am wondering if this is because of my employment gap? I don’t have my side business listed on my resume because I don’t feel like I have enough positive “stats” to report yet given it’s new. Any advice or recommendations?

I have been a top performer in every sales job that I have had since I started my career almost 10 years ago. I currently work out in the field selling to customers that have no idea I am coming and I consistently perform at the top of my market.
