Additional Posts in Salary Negotiations
Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

You can push back, but it's not likely to go anywhere. If they cared about their employees, they would have offered a raise. They know there aren't any jobs left for employees to move to, so they don't need to offer a raise in order to keep employees around.
I think it depends on your company and your manager and the dynamic you have. I wouldn't push back in my current role because I've seen horrible retaliation from our CFO and I would hate to be out of a job right now.
Not saying it’s fair but usually C level bonuses are based on company performance and are very clearly defined as you get A,B, and C done and you get X amount. Comparing other employees existing agreed upon compensation package to a new raise is really apples and oranges.
