My company promised to reevaluate salary after 6 months, but the review has not happened. What would you do in this situation? I’ve asked at least two times. Ask again or push harder? Curious how others handle these situations.

Tbh they're not going to reevaluate. It was just something they said to get you off their back

So sad. It’s looking like that.

I dont work for companies that play with my income.. the last company i worked for did the same thing. (Said they would evaluate me after my probationary period) and based on my worth ethic could be a raise of up to $7/hr. After I brought it to their attention twice and waited another month, I started looking for another job. They may have gotten wind of it and called me in to give me a whopping $1.50 raise. (Even though I worked circles around the other 2 engineers) so I then accepted another job offer for much more and when I put in my two weeks notice.. they offered me as high as a $28 raise and my managers exact words were,"I mean name your price, we really dont want to see you go".. I said sorry this company already left a bad taste in my mouth and I must move on. They called me a couple times after that but im much happier where I am now(the company im at now gave me an extra $5k a year on top of what I said I needed to accept) Just know your worth and dont give up and it'll come.

Thanks for your story and encouragement. So glad it worked out for you. Hope same happens to me.

Just keep asking. Be the squeaky wheel. I mean, why not? It's not like they didn't say they would reevaluate your salary, and you were just holding them to it. If they don't want you to be annoying, they will stick to their word.

I’m feeling embarrassed about it. I know I probably shouldn’t. But I can’t help it. I need a mind shift somehow

In my opinion, you have waited an appropriate amount of time and if they do not speak with you within a couple of weeks, I would go ahead and bring it up again. Obviously they’re not going to if they don’t in a couple weeks.!

like

Yeah you’re probably right. Thank you.

Isn't that the same thing, just worded differently? You should definitely ask again until they give you a concrete timeline. Although if this is the response you've gotten thus far, I question whether they're ever going to do it, no matter how much you pester them.

Got offered 68k after 2 years as a contractor (62.5k) doing project management/business admin in a tech department at a Fortune 500 bank. I have an A.S degree and working on my bachelor’s/masters may 2024. I negotiated to 84k NYC. I have seen interns get offered 38 per hour (79k) for internship positions with a similar role.

Thoughts? Should I go higher? I do my job well that’s why they decided to keep me as a contractor after my internship.

What's the best form of compensation to ask for and why?

My employers' CEO just announced that they just received $7 million from investors. He wants to use that money to offer incentives to employees that hussle and drive more revenue for the company. We're not sure what those incentives look like yet, but here are some post-announcement rumors from my co-workers:

Cash bonuses, raises, profit-sharing, company equity, 401k match, etc.

I’m interviewing for a marketing manager role at a company based in SF. I’m genuinely excited about the role and the company but we’ve yet to discuss salary. I expect to be asked at some point, but my research has given me a VERY broad range. So I’m here to do a bit more research. I’ve got 5 very relevant years of experience and will have an associate manager directly reporting to me. Are there any marketers out there who can share their salaries in similar regions and experience levels?

I’ve been approached my by company that one of our large clients (who im currently project managing for) is looking for a consultant of sorts, and if they hire us, I’d be the first person asked to take on this consultant role. This isn’t something my company typically offers and would greatly change the scope of my role. Has anyone ever taken on a role like this? If so, were you able to negotiate a percentage of the consulting fee? Or was it a bump in salary during the project?

Interviewing for Cyber Sec role. At very beginning they ask salary exp. I said usual way to postpone that question, and to figure out their range for role. On final interview and I mentioned 85-95k and they said it’s on the lower end for role…. Did I lowball myself?

Couldn’t get more info about sign on bonus, etc
