My coworkers and I were laid off from Grant Thornton mostly due to utilization issues, although it's sad that utilizations were out of our control, should've left earlier like the rest of our peers.

No severance, in advisory, multi levels: a, sa, manager. I think it's because of lack of projects honestly, not something employees can control.

Hmm... everyone in this last round did get time. I do recall in the previous ones it was just a payout. Those seemed more abrupt.

Can you provide more information on group, level, location, or anything else? Sorry to hear that.

Tax, Southeast, associates- manager level, 5 that I know of is pretty broad and should be fine.

Some of us have been with the firm for over 5 years, it's just kind of sad that GT is not doing more for its veterans, especially during this time.

What is the nature of the utilization issue, and in what timeframe? Low util in first half of fiscal year? Low util projection now that tax workload has slowed down after 4/15? Something else?

Having trouble landing a decent job, I am 4 years post bachelors, environmental science. I can not seem to land a job above minimum wage. My last position (horticultural assistant) found myself taking on a good amount of projects that were being left unfulfilled, due to coworker politics (a few co worker’s wanted to see the supervisor fall short of expectations) in addition I had difficulty with my manager( sexual harassment) I rejected their advances, and I was laid off in December

Here are my observations about the skills and experiences that PMs have and how people are joining that group.

They are all technical. All of them could easily be very technical cloud consultants or cloud engineers.

Does anyone have a lead on / advice on finding PM positions over $220k/yr? It seems like most positions I’m targeting are closer to $150k and I’m currently at $190+. I’m not sure I qualify for big tech Director level (would be open to and great for startup Director Level)…it seems I’m a great fit for many Sales Ops / GTM PM roles but most I’m finding promote the ~$200k+ people internally and the job reqs are ~IC 4/5. I’ve designed and implemented many successful worldwide programs.
