Keep trying, the market is terrible right now so it’s not you at all.
If you haven’t already, look for people on LinkedIn who are in the roles you want and reach out to talk to them about their experiences. Networking and getting on peoples’ radars will help you out a ton.
From my POV (which is exclusively in advertising), graphic designers are starting to be outsourced/ replaced by AI and some agencies aren’t hiring junior creatives at all.
I don’t know how much experience you have but if it’s less than 5 years, it’s probably a tough market to enter in this era.
You’re definitely on the right track of tailoring your resume and portfolio for the kind of job you want. I think there’s just less jobs out there now :(
