My firm is sending associates monthly individual reports for the number of times we are back in office so that we can “independently” gauge our in office contributions.

Have you guys ever heard of this? Our RTO is supposed to be 3 days per week but the reports make it sound like we are about to be full RTO.

Would anyone think it’s weird if someone has a squat rack in their bedroom or office? The past couple days I have been thinking about getting one of those models that folds up against the wall so I can save time commuting to the gym, dealing with crowds, save money in the long run, etc., but I live in apartment so I don’t have a garage to put it in.

First year associate and I may barely hit 1500 this year. Requirement is 2000, though i know first and some second years at my firm don’t hit it.

Why do many associates at top tier firms stay to make Partner when they can go in-house in tech and make around the same, even long term? For example, you can make near 400-550k in-house at Google, Netflix, FB with 8-10 years of exp. More senior than that in-house, it can easily break $1M.

4th year financial services associate - have an offer for a 9-5 knowledge management role at a competing firm for 94% of my current base salary.
