Gave interview sometime back, Initially they did not agree to the ask, since I already have offer from other org which is much greater than what Tavisca is offering.....Difference is around 4lakhs in both of them, the other org is mid sized company which gave higher offer... What to do in this case... Go for JPMC?? Or other org?? Tavisca JPMorgan Chase
I am a graduating student who just got offered 65k for a solution analyst role at Deloitte USDC (Data Engineering Focus). From reading previous posts it seems to be a lot of negative thoughts surrounding the USDC, but straight out of college is this a good opportunity?
I'm looking to gain as much experience as possible out of college in an IT role and wondering what exit opportunities may be in place a year or two down the road if there is little/slow progression.
Any Advice?

I was at the same company for 8 years before switching companies 2 years ago. So, my view is from a hiring standpoint.
Conventional wisdom says you should stay at a job for at least 1 year, 2 years is better. From a hiring standpoint, I do not want to see someone who makes a habit of staying at a job for just 1 year and then leaves. No matter how the applicant answers the question ‘why are you leaving’, consistent 1 year jumps always makes me ask why is the employee constantly leaving after 1 year? Is it them? Is it their performance? Are you just a jerk? But when I see someone with 1 year or less a single time on their resume, I can believe their answer to the ‘why are you leaving’ questions. Good answers i liked hearing include: the culture wasn’t a good fit; this new position is a dream job; moving to be closer to family.
You owe it to yourself to do what’s in your own best interest. Not sure what your role is, but I would be hesitant about moving to Amazon from Salesforce. Definitely a way different culture at Amazon.
A colleague of mine took a job at a startup. Two weeks in she quit after she got an offer from Amazon. No advance notice - she quit effective immediately. Several years later she’s still at Amazon in a senior leadership role.
I would’ve advised that you stay at least a year, but then there’s examples like this. She could be an outlier, she could be the norm. I have no idea.
Two years is about the average time people stay at companies these days. You’ve well exceeded that. If they don’t give you a promotion/title change, I’d consider changing companies.
Amazon will always be there. Their hiring is not going to slow down anytime soon, and I wouldn’t rush into it. Personally, I interviewed/hired people when I worked at Amazon, and I definitely looked askance at people who were in their current role less than a year, especially if they’d done so with multiple jobs. I never saw a resume from someone who was less than 6 months into a job; I’m guessing recruiters filtered them out before they even got to me.
