Have you asked for a raise? Are you considering taking the job offer? If you're willing to take the job offer if you don't get a raise, then yes, I would mention it to your boss along with a request for a raise. If you're not willing to take the job offer, maybe you could carefully bring it up as part of a request for a raise, but you risk your boss thinking that you're a flight risk and need to be replaced. Maybe just ask for a raise and cite your performance at the firm without mentioning the job offer specifically.
So you were a law clerk? They basically have no value. Why would you get a raise before you passed the bar?

Wow, I didn’t get a huge raise after my first year but it at least tracked with inflation.

Frankly, Ohio is one of the worst state to practice PI. The fee caps are heinous. And, you’re in Ohio (sorry)! All my Ohio transplant friends make the joke that Ohio is a great place to be from … Go to Texas.
I’d say like $400k. Although there are a handful of really high level PI attorneys who regularly bring in 7-8 figures on med mal cases.
