My nerves got the best of me.

I’ve been interviewing to land an entry-level agency role for a few months now & have had dozens of interviews w/o issues.

I was interviewing for a role at an agency I’ve interviewed w/ for several teams & finally thought I’d receive an offer.

I interviewed with HR since the hiring manager was OOO, & randomly got nervous & choked up for a sec.

I blew it, & they extended an offer to someone with “strong client facing communication skills.”

Was it my nerves?

Working Moms/Dads: Do in-house positions exist with flex time hours? I need to be able to leave work at 4pm to pick up my son from daycare, but i can get back online at home to resume any unfinished work at 8pm. I am so blown away by the last like 20 mins of the movie. Like someone clearly edited most of the script up to that point then decided "eh the rest is probably good enough for no one to qc"

I am on the brink of quitting my consulting gig. I had a good record up until this project, where I really struggle and have a very disengaged team and highly political and bureaucratic client. My firm might be too small to just roll me off.. I have a few interviews lined up, but I don’t have a job offer yet.

Anyone else expect there to be loads of attractive people when they started work and end up thoroughly disappointed?
