I would communicate your expectations as early as convenient with your direct manager and if you have 1:1s with your manager’s manager but not before speaking with your direct manager first. Wouldn’t frame it as “new job is not what it was made out to be” rather “been here awhile and noticed that I would be... and want to...” come off as motivated rather than scorned

Can you wait to bring it up at your one year review? That may be a more natural time for this type of discussion. I would also advise to be really strategic with how you navigate this discussion - it’s a potentially sensitive subject for both parties, so have a plan going into conversation and don’t just spill your feelings to your boss.
Be vocal early and push for it. Have a similar situation and I push and remind periodically. So far their intention is to make it happen after 1 year of hiring.
