My whole project is at a stand still because a quote isn’t back yet. So annoying! It was a tiny typo that wouldn’t have caused an issue but QA insists we get it fixed (the quote had a tighter range than we need). Of course now QA is mad that the timeline is slipping. After 2 years of a pandemic and working independently for many years, I am not feeling interviews AT ALL. There are points in the interview where I want to just say "Look! Either hire me or don't".

How can I get over this feeling? I'm over the whole "stand in the line of fire to prove how good I am" bs. Any recommendations for getting over this or possible industries to pivot into to avoid bs interview processes and ghosting?

I’ve been working at a rather prestigious midsized firm in a big city for almost a year and a half now. I have been having a lot of trouble picking up work from senior partners. We are required to bill at least 150 hours per month to meet our requirement. My months are typically only 110-130 hours. It seems like the senior partners already have their “go to” associate for things. Does anyone have any suggestions on how i can increase my workload? I reach out for work pretty much weekly.

Any tips on how to bring in clients to the firm? I do L&E and one of the things my firm goes over during annual evals is whether we bring in business, even for third year associates.

Partner keeps telling me (2nd year) that I need to get better at using staff like paralegals to reduce client costs.....but doesn't realize that the only paralegal allocated to my group has been with the firm for 30 years and bills 1.5x higher than me.
