Once you get a grip on SQL, it is easy to switch, so it kind of doesn't matter. Depending on project/client stack you'll have to switch. I have never heard someone saying "oh no, he doesn't know <that> particular flavor of SQL, he won't do".

Interview prep typically recommended to learn Postgres IMO. MySQL should be fine too I just don’t think anyone actually uses it in a business setting. MS SQL, ORACLE, and BigQuery are probably what you’ll see for real
SC2 that’s not correct! Why do you think AWS created a MYSQL version of aurora? You statement used to be corrected before companies started using the cloud. I have helped so many big firms migrate from on prem to the cloud and I can tell you that they always looking for ways to break free on the licenses cost of MS SQL and oracle.
So MySQL and postgreSQL are actually becoming very popular.
