Sounds right

What 3 years of consulting experience has you as a VP? Sounds like a very solid deal though overall. Can’t expect much better IMO

How are you a VP with 3 YoE in consulting?
Regardless, that sounds about right; salary is pretty high, bonus a little low

That’s awesome — congrats!
Sounds very reasonable
Thank you
How did you break in? What type of consulting were you doing?
Restructuring - managed to find a fund that was specifically looking to fill multiple roles with people from IB and Consulting for diverse backgrounds

Bonus is on the lower end, Salary is on point
Thank you
How much income tax are you paying on this? I’m from Canada and the taxes are wiping so much of my earnings, I get panic attacks.
Sounds right. Most associate 1’s are 250k without carry at much larger firms. Your base to bonus is actually skewed more favorably than most. Usually it’s half half.
That’s helpful, thanks. I fought for a larger % base and this was their final offer
What’s the carry? How much would that add to your total comp?
Update: Carry is 10 basis points in the 2nd fund (3 years in) and 30 basis points in the 3rd fund (just closed)

Those 3 years of experience wouldn’t happen to be post MBA would they? But that’s a very reasonable offer
Pre-MBA
I mean if that sounds low for you, I don’t mind taking it 😂
3 YOE as a VP must be a post MBA number and I will simply never understand why MBAs do that
