Literally anyone who whips out a plat instead of a gold at a restaurant is only trying to flex. Basically any other card will get you more points.

Agreed with many other comments - not sure what the benefit over Cobalt is now that all MR is equal. There are some Plat exclusive promos (e.g., we got a $175 fine dining credit in Canada), but the earn rate is much lower and the other fringe benefits is just security bypass and lounge access, which are less useful during covid. I'm thinking of canceling once I finish my promo period
