Once you hit that 6-8 week mark, I’d start to reevaluate. But for another few weeks you should be okay and seem to be doing the right things.
I agree. 6-8 weeks should be the time to reevaluate. They are laying off folks on the bench too long.
I was on bench for 3 months
Same here. Almost 3 months
Go on market place and look for an opening and mark your interest. Also talk to your resource manager and they should be able to help you get on something
Enjoy your bench time ..once you are on project, you will miss this period!
3-5 weeks on bench is expected for new hires. Keep your networking on and keep in touch with your Coach and Resource Manager.
I spent nearly 2 months on the bench when I was first hired. Everyone tells you to spend time networking which is tough if you don’t know where to look. I’d suggest reaching out to the people you have been in touch with (coach, OBA, etc) and see if they have any names of people to reach out to. Most people are more than willing to chat for a few minutes.

While on bench try to get some certs. Now is the time to up skill. Once you join a project it’ll be hard to do both.
