Apply for the M role it's close enough
Bring it up to your CC & HR. Only consultant 2 yrs exp and I'm making more....
Slalom1... We tend to level down. Take the money and kill it. Being well rated at sc moving into manger is better than being a newly minted mediocre rated manger
Why aren't you feeling it? And what makes you think it will be that much greener on the other side?
They took me from 90k to 103k even though I brought in $2M. I'm thinking the people and work will be marginally better or the same. Pay should be way better.
Manager 103k on Accenture? Our senior associates in their first year get 99k
^ that's a stretch
Do the SC level and overperform and get a high rating. Build the network before you are an M bc the expectations are different
What DTE? Technology?
Yeah that does seem kind of low
Get a competing offer and get a pay bump.
Dont leave for anything less than mgr. You worked hard for that level...dont let anyone take it from you
Ok so far people are just shitting on my salary. I know it's shit, thanks guys. Sounds like people agree generally agree a move to D as an SC isn't a bad idea. Also, did I mention I have first round interviews with McKinsey next week? Options. Too bad too because I don't hate Accenture but $ is $
D is not where I'd choose
I'm at 5.5 years relevant experience but M roles at D are asking for 6
What practice and location?
I'm a SA and I'm making 96 (although west coast) but that seems pretty low for any region as a manager. I think Uncle D could give you a lot more
I'm same as A3 new consultant - less than two years work experience and I am making more than that so doesn't sound right.
What DTE are you?
Echo SC1, also don't tell D what you are making now, they will use it to lowball you. You'll get a healthy bump joining at SC level in Deloitte. 25-35% depending on how well you pitch your value prop.
I usually tell people to spend at least 12 months at a level before you leave. That way you can avoid your next company trying to bump you down
I was brought in as a 9 making 105 at Accenture through an acquisition not too long ago.
