Hey, I have 4 YOE and currently a manager at PwC and have been managing teams for a little over a year now. My role mainly consists of leading teams of engineers deliver MVPs to our clients.
If I wanted to exit to Google or Facebook (Meta) what role would align for me? I was looking at engineering manager roles but unsure if that’s too senior for me.

So I have both and I don’t really like Becker’s lectures all that much. They are pretty dry. On the flip side, the ninja sparring is really good and covers everything you need to know for that section. My only issue is the guy who does the lectures (Mike) has a really thick accent so sometimes it’s hard for me to follow. But you can download the notes from that session and review it without listening. The MCQs are really good and prepare you well for the exam. Also, look into Universal CPA Review if you’re going the ninja route. They are designed for visual learners and everything is pretty much animated like a cartoon so it’s more easy to watch than Becker 😂🤣 . Also, every question you answer in the platform has an explanation for why the correct answer is correct and the others are incorrect. Which is nice to have. Also, since they are a newer cpa test prep company they take a little more of a personal approach. If you’re constantly getting stuff wrong for a particular section, you’ll likely get a text or email from the owners to ask to chat about it or they’ll send you something to help. I had a personal text when I was studying for FAR and they asked if we could have a call or web chat to discuss bonds. It was so helpful, they gave me ideas on how to approach it and during test day I recalled just about everything discussed on the call.
Btw. I think this code will give you 25% off if you want to try it EY. http://996universalcparev.refr.cc/perezc3910

I highly recommend Universal CPA. I really like that Ninja has a monthly plan that can be cancelled. So what I do is use Universal CPA to go over the lecture (love their videos and fun approach). Then I do all the MCQ and I move onto Ninja’s MCQ. I really only use Ninja for my review
12-15 hours during the weekdays and 5-10 on the weekends depending on if I need heavy review or not
I have Becker. Agree the lectures are dry lol. Its the accounting version of listening to dad jokes 🤷♂️🤣 however it has worked for me probably because it's the same style as when i did my CPA abroad. I did review classes/lectures then proceed to practice tests. I learned that it takes me faster to go through the lectures by reading and not relying on the audio. Im not as motivated to learn when the audio is on because i think i can multi task and be on my phone while the audio is on lol
Ive heard good things about universal cpa. Only reason i didnt get it is because i dont want to pay for more review material
Use whatever your firm provides.
If not, I second Roger.
