Not finance related, but I know a lot of people go to the movies this weekend. Any good recommendations? I’ve haven’t gone to the theater in years but would like to see something!

My daughters have been begging me to see Zootopia 2 ever since they saw a preview for it. It's finally out in theaters, so after I get done cleaning up our Thanksgiving mess, we're going to hit a matinee showing. I'll report back with my full rating and review.

Seeing Wicked 2 tonight with the kids… hoping the Ativan kicks in before the previews end 😂

Going to see The Running Man tomorrow. Have heard mixed reviews, but it’s honestly the only thing I even remotely would like to watch.

A lot of my friends are excited for the new wicked for good movie

I'd just wait for Avatar coming out the week before Christmas.

Took my son to see zootopia 2. Was better than the first one

Thanks for the recs!

Hi all, I am trying to DCA bi-weekly into Vanguard ETFs, (VO, VTI etc). It seems like Fidelity does not support auto buying of non-Fidelity ETFs. So I was wondering which of these options you think is best?

1. Open a Vanguard Invest account
2. Look for Fidelity ETFs that are similar to Vanguard ETFs
3. Use smaller brokerages like SoFi l, Robinhood etc.

I really do not want to manage nor be active. My goal is to log-in like once every 6 months.

Thank you all.

I just got an offer for a senior software developer role at $150k starting. It is a small start up with 28 people in the team and AI driven. My recent salary was $118 so it is quite a jump for me and I really liked the VP I spoke to. Very somber and smart guy.
However, I have several other interviews coming up ranging from big corporate to app companies. Shall I decline the current offer to explore more or accept it but push my start day to later so I could stillbdo the other interviews?

Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC. Should I stay it out and wait for TC to align or take the promotion and jump ship bc I will likely get paid more elsewhere given how recruiters/other companies eat up hiring recently promoted ppl from other firms?

What would be the best method to transition from a financial advisory role to a more financial analyst focused position? Is this type of move unheard of/too difficult to do?

I have been in client facing wealth management as an advisor for 10 years. I haven’t built a book of business because I’ve worked for mostly discount brokers (Merrill edge, TDA, Etrade). I want to know how to transition to a non client facing role in wealth management or another financial role. I am series 7 and series 66 licensed. Any thoughts?

Should I decline the offer and ask to be considered for a higher role that better fits my qualifications? The offer I had was with a great bank but I'm overqualified for that. Its been hard to find a job because I dont have prior experiences.

I'm in finance/tech FPA, looking to go back to the defense industry for a 25% increase in TC. But wanted to see if I should leverage the new salary with current company to see if they'll match.

Background: got a promotion at current company that didn't come with sufficient increase . After stating my case I was told it would be evaluated next October, which is what prompted the initial job search.

Current TC 103K [88/15], offer 125k base [+discretionary bonus].
