Try and cut out the noise. Be less obsessed with details and trust the process/team.
Yes I do find frequent task switching mentally draining. It’s not related to age in my opinion but the fact is that as you become more senior the quality of decisions required have more expectations. Something I read that helped when hit the wall is to rest for 20mins with no distractions. No tech, phone or anything just reset. After 20mins I felt much better. Put some rules around responses just because you get a teams notification does mean you have to respond instantly. Use Copilot to ask it to sum up chats that are yet to be responded to.
I don't think it has impacted me in performance reviews (yet) but I just feel more and more inefficient and the work feels like it piles on without progress. Can't tell if this is normal or is going to bite me later.
It happens more and more over time the older you get. It may be time to pass those things on to juniors and level up your organizational impact.

Your brain can't physiologically multi task. You can rapidly switch between tasks. It gets harder with age, best thing you can do is get 8+ hours of sleep, do some sort of exercise and get enough whole food. As you age and lose neuroplasticity it will get more difficult as well but that's a longer process.
