Job-Hunting reach-out to VC from previous fundraising effort for own startup
I have e-mail archive from 1y ago of my reach-out to 65 VCs in London: we had video calls, they might remember me still, who knows.
I want to send a reply/forward message to the same e-mail thread from abc@gmail.com, saying that I am looking for roles within their VC firm. Is that a good idea?
Or shall I just start new email thread and mention how I know them?

Pro tip: put this into Google Maps, it'll predict your travel time based on historical traffic patterns
DO NOT UBER. NYC cabs have much bigger balls which will cut your time my 30%. I agree with the 9:30 departure. I also like the LIRR to SkyTrain but that is a NYer move, not for the faint of heart.
Seriously, walk over to penn and take the LIRR... then airtrain from Jamaica
Take the E train about 1.5 hours before boarding time
Yep an hour. Zero traffic is 35 minutes. Terrible traffic is 90 minutes. Normal would be 45-60.
8:30, JFK blows
12:20 on a Friday long weekend... give it an hour to be safe. No later than 9:30 and you're good
i am planing to uber. An hour ish ride?
^ this. With the LIRR being the second best option
Went to Jf k last week and it was awful (90mins) had I known I would have done LIRR which can get you there in 30 mins + 10 mins on the airtrain.
It's really not that NYer, the subway/LIRR and sky train is the quickest option of all of them, and a known quantity vs NYC traffic which can be pretty insane. As long as you don't have too much luggage you're good to go, otherwise it's just a pain and inconvenient as hell too
thanks DD1, i think i will enjoy the roller coaster ride on my way to JFK. And thanks everyone for the responses 👌🏻
Take uber to Penn station. Take the LIRR. Get of jamaica station. Take the air train. You should board the LIRR no later than 10 am
I'd go for 10 or 10:30 assuming you're checking in online and not checking a bag.
I'd be leaving at 1030, like mck1. I've done it many times leaving at more like 11 and still been ok. But only if you can handle the stress of a possible missed flight.
