It’s In SoHo but go to the Trump hotel restaurant. No one in advertising will see you there.

Go to the JOE cafe inside that Cadillac pop up on Hudson.

like

Joe and the juice inside the oculus

like

Disagree with JOE @ Cadillac pop-up. Lots of agency folks hang out there. Ostensibly you don't want to be recognized/overheard when doing a phone interview.

Worth looking at hotels. Lobby bar at the Smyth Hotel, Chambers and W Broadway (where Little Park is located). Usually pretty quiet during the day, lots of comfortable seating. Four seasons also a low key atmosphere during the afternoon. Conrad in BPC also an option with lots of seating and mostly tourists / little risk of running into any industry folks

I would feel bad juju if I interviewed at anything with the name "Trump" involved.

like

Thanks all! I tried Joe & the Juice but the music was too loud. Ended up in a park instead. But please keep the suggestions coming if ya got em for future reference.

I walk around, make a corny joke about not being able to take the call at my desk, and it's always fine.

Plus folks walking by me appreciate my finer points on creative strategy.

like

Roxy Hotel has a great cafe/lobby area with some secluded seating areas

like

Fika on Greenwich is a good spot also

Question about remote job negotiations

I'm currently interviewing for a remote role for a company based in NY.

The thing is I'm based in a different city (southern U.S.)

My question is:

When it comes time to talk compensation, should I base the market rate for the role on my city of residence or NY?

Would it make sense to ask them directly how they determine comp for NY-bases vs. other city-based employees?

Anyone have experience with this?

Actually
Tiaa global business services is product based company but not even ready to match the offer. Before interview they are ready to give package but once interview get cleared they will not ready to pay package based on your expectation.

How many days does it take to receive the offer letter?

For the new lease, I'm still pending full approval from a condo association as I have to do an in person interview. I have paid first months rent in advance. Is there anyway to get that money back?

I have been giving a few interviews lately and every Company is asking me to confirm if i can get my NP reduced from 90 Days to 45 or 60 Days. I'm still under probation but assigned to a Project already. Should I ask my Account Manager and HR about it or its unethical to do so. Am i making a mistake to ask and confirm about NP even before my offer letter or its ok to just enquire what's the process and possibility to reduce NP as we have buyout option too.

Had an interview today, for RN OnCall position. This is an extremely difficult position, but I bring not only a preference to work the hours they need but the experience and credentials to qualify for the upper range of the salary (RN, MSN, CHPN, 5 years hospice experience). I asked for the range and he gave the range then immediately stated that I would qualify for mid range. My goal is to find a similar position to the one I’m working now and add 20-30% to my income, the high range would meet
