Experienced hire with ~8 YOE. Applied and interviewed for SC at Deloitte but they offered C position. Nonetheless, after attempting to negotiatie offer I've been told the offer is firm and Deloitte will not budge. Any other experienced hire gone through something similar? If so, what worked? I'm currently looking at a 15% pay cut to join Uncle D.
Also, any others that took the cut and would say it's worth it?

Is a degree necessary for the field I am trying to pursue? If not, please feel free to recommend ways I can build my experience while also working full time to be successful in this role. My bf is English, he came for me in France but struggle to find a job. He used to be an admin officer. At the end of 2019, he went to a tech boot camp to follow an intensive course to become a full stack developer.
The big issue is that he finished his course in January but still struggle to find a job. He is open to remote job but still, can't find anything.
