A general range at Glassdoor has an average base pay at 110K/year shorturl.at/dhuIZ and I am looking for more sources. Cheers

200 - so will be doing my best to not work any more This year.
I wanna be you 😍
$0 and I have been working my ass off to find work in NYC. Congrats to all here with big numbers. 🚀
The way I was raised, you didn’t talk about how much money you make
Think that’s on leadership to ground them and give next steps for them to be able to get that raise.
I’ll take Braggadocious Non-humble Brag for $1000, Alex 🙄
Congrats. I clearly under bill.
Guess I’m the only one not finding gigs then?
Nope same- this is THE roughest year of my 13 years freelancing
was laid off for 2 months. First time in years. But I'm back out there and booked till end of Sept and very busy.
I've had some success promoting myself as the anti-AI writer to agencies who rely almost exclusively on AI. They call me to provide the nuance (mostly humor and wit) that AI fails at. It's not easy to get there but becoming known as the Authentic Intelligence provider has been rewarding.
Email Subject: I’m your guy, NOT AI
Been getting lowball CD rates by a lot of the big agencies, so even with consistent work I’m not making close to what most of you are. Any tips appreciated. How often are you all on W2s vs 1099?
@CD3 So basically you only take 1099 gigs? And to me that means direct to client gigs and small indie shops? I have been doing this all wrong. Which makes sense since I am f ing broke.
It's been slower this year, but for some reason April/ May is like Jiffy Pop and lots of assignments coming at once. Any one have advice for how to hang in through the lean periods? I am inclined to take as much work as offered, to offset January and March when I did zilch. But I don't wanna get burned out. Hang in there, everybody. I think things are picking up.
I welcome your copy Jiffy Pop into my inbox. ✨
A little over $160K so far.
NYC agencies or LA? i have to know. also, ty for lighting a fire under my ass. i was starting to accept defeat, and beginning to wallow that there just isn’t work. guess i need to look harder. also, are you doing hcp health gigs? i don’t have that kind of brain, so i can’t.
300ish
are you doing hcp healthcare gigs? if not, can i ask, how do you get your gigs? cold emails or through people you have worked? also, do you have a ton of awards? good job on the three hundo. i am inspired. i had started just accepting that it’s slow for everyone. nope.🙂↔️
I didn’t start freelancing till March after I was laid off but I’m at around $40k
What kind of day rate are you all charging to earn 140-200-300k in 5 months? Double dipping?
Pro
A mixture of typical CD rates and project consulting fees. And yeah, double dipping.
I‘m on a full-time, contract W2 that pays me $62 an hour. Then I freelance outside of that. Those jobs have been increasing. I have a few consistent clients that are seeking more work. I may have just lost a start up as a client. They aren’t getting back to me on things.
Good Q1, nothing in Q2 so far. Looking for full time
Great job! What kind of work do you do? And clients? Did you work for well-known agencies do gain the experience to be able to land the work. Interested to understand how you achieved that.
Polly want a market
Pretty sure he’s being sarcastic.
Sizable? No. But there are some. I’ve hit that number and above a few times in my career. Also, I wasn’t saying 800. I said so far I’m on pace for a little under 400. So chill.

Wow, are you freelancing for a drug cartel?
