Cushman & Wakefield Interested in a Sales Associate position at Cushman & Wakefield. I have experience as a government analyst for 7 years but nothing related to commercial real estate. I want to become a more competitive applicant but not sure where to start. Are there any certificates, skills, or knowledge that I should be learning in my free time?
What's the salary range for a director at the Gilead Sciences foundation? There is a position perfect for me, but I don't want to throw my hat in the ring if starting salary isn't $180-190k. Also, any thoughts on the stability of their philanthropic commitment? There's talk of a recession; I don't want to go private to be cute a few months later.

Don’t fall for the okie doke. You’ll never see that 8 mos of salary. Look at whom the offer is coming from….
you're an idiot
Me too but I have so many doubts they’ll even keep up their end of the bargain
They won’t keep their end. If you are u ion, consult your union. Hang tight - don’t sign anything and refuse when they ask you to resign and reapply for your job.
Don't do it. We need a resistance, a backbone, against the stupidity and the sycophants. Eventually, they will go away and your experience, your knowledge, will be needed.
I don't know exactly what you do but please understand this: you ARE appreciated and you leaving WILL cause issues if you're replaced by someone who is less knowledgeable likely leading to danger to someone else.
Please, for all of us, stay strong. We can be here for you on the days that are bad. You've got this.
Thank you, thank you thank you!
How bad would it be if we started using the new hr email to subscribe to everything lol
If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. If a timeshare person was trying to sell you this type of job would you take it? For Federal employees: Severance pay is authorized under 5 U.S.C. 5595 and 5 CFR part 550, subpart G, for full-time and part-time employees who are involuntarily separated from Federal service and who meet other conditions of eligibility. Do your calculations. He can promise all he wants but payouts have to abide by the U.S.C. I hope this helps.

I wouldnt do it, in the mean time continue to apply for other jobs. I dont see how downsizing will benefit anyone. The ones left will be overworked then when they quit? Then what? Smh
That’s a terrifying future to look forward to.
Realize the fork in the road is not a lump sum payout. It means you can WFH until September, and then you’re out of a job (including any accrued pension).
Check OPM.gov regarding retirement benefits.
If you leave Federal service before you meet the age and service requirements for an immediate retirement benefit, you may be eligible for deferred retirement benefits. To be eligible, you must have completed at least 5 years of creditable civilian service. You may receive benefits when you reach one of the following ages:
Eligibility Information
Age Years of Service
62 5
MRA 30
MRA 10
If you retire at the MRA with at least 10, but less than 30 years of service, your benefit will be reduced by 5 percent a year for each year you are under 62, unless you have 20 years of service and your benefit starts when you reach age 60 or later.
Why would anyone who is gainfully employed even consider resigning? Come on folks, read the tea leaves here, this is to flush out those close to retirement and those who simply want to milk a paycheck. Go to work, plan vacation time for yourself, be thankful you even have a job.
ESPECIALLY since agencies are telling staff that, if they take this, they CAN’T take a second job while they’re on this paid pseudo-leave.
The admin fully intends on punishing you for the fact that you worked for the government.
If you have enough savings for a year without work, if you are confident about been able to find a job or don’t need one in the next 1-2 years then I think is worth the risk.
I am right there with you but I just have a bad feeling and the job market sucks. I don't want to be trying to find a new role for a year or year and a half like some of my friends currently are. The offer seems too good to be true.
It’s legit. It’s not bait.
It’s giving me spam email vibes though. I feel like a Nigerian prince is going to ask me for my account number.
