I wonder if DM, who has been revered by the rank and file in a way that CEOs rarely are, is bothered at all by the fact that that's all going to go away now.
Speaking frankly about the utter disaster of the past three days and *then* pivoting into her cheerleading act would have been tough for people to swallow, but it wouldn't have dripped with contempt--like not acknowledging at all did, while saying how important it is to "do the right thing for our people."
It would have been one thing to say, "Sorry, I truly thought we'd be able to maintain our status quo like I said we would so many times over the past year, but I was mistaken, and here's why we're doing this."
Instead, she pretended that she's always been in favor of RTO and is its biggest booster. And on and on.
Bad policy is one thing, but gaslighting people is another. And people aren't going to forget it.

Leadership should be embarrassed. Everyone is on edge after the layoffs, to not provide clear updates to people on the things we actually care about is a disgrace.

I learned there IS an RTO policy
but not what it actually is
3 days a week. Policy info on Omni hub suggests they are looking to move back to 5 days in the future. But currently set at 3.
Frankly, I feel that DM lost all credibility on that call when she started waxing prolific on RTO. So much for keeping on with what’s working. I’ve heard her insert little quips into lots of her town halls about how great it is to be in the office. This was just the cementing of all of those little hints.

I was assured during my hiring process that Dana was championing continued remote work bc it’s what made IPG function so well. I would not have pursued this job had I known that was not the case. I knew there would be change resulting from the “merger” but didn’t expect a full Omnicom takeover. I feel deceived. Leadership should be ashamed by the lack of transparency.

CD3 like I said earlier, in this job market some of us have to take what we can get. I’d say I hope you don’t find yourself in the same situation but hoping for good outcomes is not something you believe in the face of evidence.
A prerecorded message isn't a "town hall" meeting (ie, a forum where the people in the town are actually allowed to speak and ask questions). Can't say I'm surprised by the gaslighting and overall sliminess of Dana Maiman and IPG "leadership". With these layoffs and the ridiculous benefit cuts, we should all be talking about unionizing

Sure - but she owns a home and can retire comfortably and never has to worry about her future. Not saying she’s showy with the compensation she gets. Meanwhile, we’re having the small retirement benefits we did have stripped from us and are worried about our futures.
FCB people should have been looking months ago....your leadership has been trying to sell for YEARS and this was bound to happen bc your leadership is salesy and does not have any proprietary tech - pricing is their only value prop basically.....
