Hi Fishes
I would like to know about the client interviews (especially in data science or machine learning roles).
Are these interviews tough?
Are these interviews meant to assess technical knowledge? For example, what is binomial distribution, what are different data structures in python, ml algorithms etc.
I would request each of the nagarrians to share their thoughts irrespective of the technologies you are working.
I am thankful to you for taking time and helping me out.

West monroe... you sound like you run a household where you have a separate decanter or glass container for orange juice during breakfast ... you know what i mean? @bcg & @deloitte lol what the hell is going on here?
Nope. Everything you named is what we also do. Have a 5 month old and a 5 year old.
A mother’s helper? I’m not sure what that is but if you’re paying for a nanny/daycare I hope your wife is also in the job market, though some do enjoy supporting a dependapotimous
We have a chef who comes by once a month to stock our freezer with meals. Fun to watch, our kitchen smells amazing for days, and we have meals for when we can’t be bothered to cook
@D2 Ok think outside your own situation for two seconds. Dual career households a) have greater need for help and b) more money to afford such help
Sick burn on the reddit 😂
You answered OP‘s question about mother’s helper scope by explaining how you can’t afford anything and your wife doesn’t need one. 0/10 on the helpful scale. Have a great day.
New York is chock-a-block full of cooks looking to make some extra income. I get ready-to-eat meals for less than if I bought them at Trader Joe’s or FreshDirect.
No decanter here. Just bourbon glasses.
I don’t make enough money to justify any of that. Cutting the grass is a nice way to spend an hour outside on the weekends, cleaning the house helps us keep tabs on what we have and where it is (and what needs fixing), and my wife is a stay-at-home mother so no need for daycare or hiring a “helper”.
I think you have me confused with someone you imagined. I’m the guy with a breast-feeding vegetarian spouse. One who gets hungry on a moments notice and who doesn’t want to eat PB&J all day. We’re buying meals anyway, this is cheaper and healthier than takeout or Trader Joe’s. I call it frugal. It just looks fancy from the outside
West Monroe 1, area and recommendation?
OP I think a mother’s helper — if you mean basically a babysitter who comes in when one or both parents are home and does more than just babysitting (no lewd comments needed!) — is a great idea. You work your ass off for your money (like we all do) so directing some of that to something giving you a bit of relaxation and ease, is a no-brainer.
NYC and it’s a friends friend. But freshly and home chef are services that look like they do much the same
Settle down BCG1. No need to come in here with the attitude...keep back handed comments like that to your Reddit acct. if you’re having a bad day. Nothing I said implied I wasn’t thinking outside of my own situation...I was just simply sharing my position. Apparently my post made you feel guilty about something.
You the guy who also has beer taps at work?
My wife is a SAHM but the kids (2) are only 18 months apart (not planned) but we did have mothers helpers to provide some relief to her in the afternoons. They were basically high school or college students who would play with the kids and provide a welcome distraction for a few hours, sometimes overlapping with when I was home. Given that I travel (maybe 25%) it’s a lot for one person to do without assistance. I also pay for lawn care, home cleaning. While I could do both on the weekends it takes away from kid/wife time - well worth the $
