Cg has offered to match upto 23.5 lakhs.. Is it worth moving to TCS on this grade? My primary reason for moving out of Cg is i m bored of beauocracy and WLB at current project. Is it a good idea to still switch with the counter offer from Cg Capgemini Tata Consu

It's also the responsibility of moms like me (who have been there) to help you in any way we can. Offer advice, support - hell even help you figure out your pumping schedule if that helps. Remember ladies - together we can do anything.
Go for it if that's you want. You don't have to choose between the two that is old world thinking. We need more moms in these positions!
Oh and I'm a single mom to boot
Go for it! I a lead on my account and have a 3 yr old. Another lead has a baby about to turn 1. My manager is currently filling in for another of his direct reports who is on mat leave (her second). You absolutely don't have to leave advertising to have kids.
I just want younger woman to have every opportunity to shine. And being a mom should be viewed as a positive contribution to the workforce. So if I can help accomplish that - all good 😊That and there's a special place in hell for women who don't support other women (as the quote goes)!
I've seen many women do this successfully. Part of it is having a workplace with the correct type of support in both policies and culture (have you seen female leaders in your office get pregnant and have kids and continue advancing in their careers? If not that's a good sign your workplace won't be supportive of it). The other part is deciding to go for it and prioritizing what "good" leadership and parenting means to you. No one is perfect at either of those things, let alone both, but that doesn't mean it can't be done.
Mom of two, leadership, in the biz 20 years. It's getting so much better for women and mothers. Set boundaries, do great work and you'll be fine.
LB we should be friends!!! Mamas doing for other mamas, preach!! 👍👍👍
I didn't ask the question but very much share the sentiment. Advertising is notorious for long hours and inflexible, demanding clients. I see very few working mothers (especially in NY). I thought many end up leaving client side or going freelance. I don't think it's far-fetched to ask
This thread is inspiring me that I won't have to leave advertising when I want to have kids
You're on. Mamas are the best role models - killing it at work and home 👌
Are you seriously asking if anyone with a successful career is also a mother? Yes, there millions of women who manage so can you.
This has to change, women are vital to advertising-we make up half the population of consumers for shit's sake. And guess what, women have babies. If we didn't, the world would cease to exist. Check out this if you haven't already: http://www.3percentconf.com/
Didn't plan on being earth mama, but I had a backpack pump and nursed for two years. You can do it.
Just make sure you are present where you are. See if you can budget to have someone clean your apartment and do laundry. Will make a huge difference. Get rest, make time to be with your partner so you have balance and still feel like your earl. You don't want to resent your ur baby, partner or work. It's up to you to create what will work!
I'm in the same boat....you got this
