OP - talk with GH people. FB is such an echo chamber/has a heavy skew in opinion for ALL firms. Find someone on LinkedIn that’s in the area you’d be involved in. (I’ve never worked there but I hate the blanket hate people give to other firms because of essentially hearsay)
I like it here. Good pay- smart colleagues who seem to be a bit more humble and grounded than some of our mgmt consulting peers (read: not like D1). I think a lot is sector/team-dependent so if you are interviewing, ask a lot of questions about accessibility to Directors and Partners and types of projects.
WLB is tough probably 30% of the time. Work is way more interesting than in my last 2 jobs but I think that could be a product of my specific client (I’m in health- interesting stuff going on in our sector at the moment).

Ah yes, where as Deloitte is known for its high-end consulting. We literally sit next to Deloitte consultants at dozens of engagements. A trained monkey could run your anemic one size fits all playbooks.

I’m at Guidehouse and I think it’s solid. Spent 10 years at Pdubs too and it was good to leave the Risk and Independence BS at PwC behind. Still a lot of legacy PwC people around and has that culture. People talk about brand quality dilution with Navigant, but I think that’s Big4 kool aid. They do good work at a comparable quality. If anything our revenue cycle work dilutes the brand (it’s lower dollar) but clients tend to not be bothered by that. GH is an unknown brand but I’ve found that clients are open to a fresh perspective and there’s lots of white space.
It does depend on the segment you’re joining though. It feels more like 7 separate businesses. Benefits are also not as great at junior levels, apparently.

What sector? That usually makes the difference. ES&I is great. SLG is great. DHS is meh. It all depends.
Ditto GH1. Also had a big pay bump leaving B4. Worth it for me.
Nothing to add from what’s above- but do keep in mind we’re owned a PE firm, and PE firms maximize profit by squeezing their assets and limiting costs. For us that means less holidays, loss of benefits, etc.
It’s not too bad right now, but I’m prepared to jump ship within the next 2 years. Just my 2 cents.

If you're really concerned about prestige. Which I personally don't understand that concept. It's basically saying the best thing about you is the company you currently work for, but I digress. The WLB is what you make it, many people are doing 40-42 a week. The bonuses are nowhere near Deloitte, speaking from experience, but it appears you'll be making considerably more (same boat as me). So it comes down to whether you want to follow the money or not.
You're asking us to decide on your personal priorities. That's a terrible idea in general.
Think through if you care about 40% more money or if you care about being a big D.
Then own it.
Internet strangers telling you what they would do won't help.
