401k match is immaterial at big 4 so not a deal breaker. More than compensated thru base and bonus

100%

A&M makes a contribution to your 401(k) at the end of the each year, based on a % of total comp and your age (fully vested I believe). Unlimited PTO. I’ve found that my health insurance is much better than the health insurance I had at pwc.

Since when does A&M match 401k? That seems to be new .. wasn't there when I interviewed with them two years ago.

I think A&M1 might be referring to the 401k contribution that the firm automatically deducts from your bonus if you don’t contribute to your 401k during the year.

Wait - A&M doesn’t have a 401(k) match?

Nope.

No match

Another laid off case here. Anyone moving out of US considered keeping the 401K as is instead of withdrawing? Any pros / cons to keep in mind ? Pro I see is no penalty and the fact that it'll continue to grow till I turn 65. Con is that it's a decent size amount in my case and I might need some if that cash if I don't get a job soon 🙄

My wife and I would like to retire at age 50 (or earlier). We’re in our early 30s. We’ve been maxing out 401ks and IRAs for years and started contributing 20k a year into a taxable account to start filling the gap since we can’t access 401k until 55. At what point should we be reducing 401k/IRAs and redirecting to the taxable account? Otherwise our income balloons late in life. Curious how others are managing this.

If you started working at a company for like a year as a staff level, for example 2019-present, and this is reflected on LinkedIn, do you guys update any promotions to show it as (the date or year of promotion) -present... or just show it as 2019-present? I’ve seen people do the latter more but is that even right?
