Over a happy hour yday a former colleague (now friend) said they’re considering reporting their NY finance client for transactions related privacy violation. They wrapped project last week but are still FTE with same consulting firm that has this client.

I told them to be careful but they said their research made them comfortable (I didn’t probe). I’m a little worried for this individual, especially given the political environment as they’re not even a citizen. Are they inviting trouble? Ty

Can we talk about privacy vendors? We are looking for a platform to handle data inventory and/or data discovery, as well as automating the privacy impact assessment process. We already have vendors for DSARs and cookies. Do most people consolidate all these functions to one platform or use multiple?
