Stealth layoffs at CWT confirmed.
Hi fishes,
Any guess how many people are laid off from Publicis sapient in past few days? Really scared for my future as I'm also under probation period and deeply regret for my choice of joining this firm...I don't understand why were they recruiting peeps when they were short of projects. Publicis Sapient

How would anyone know? Employers can't ask that shit. The effect would be more mental than anything -- the person laid off for poor performance is more likely to be less confident in their subsequent interviews
I was told it was performance. I had a near perfect review. And I am finding it very hard to stay motivated
@A1: I've been there, it's tough but realize that this "failure" has nothing to do with you as a person and professional and your value isn't dependent on what one shitty manager/company think. For me, I was finally able to put it behind me when I bounced back from a 4 at YE and got a 2 the next -- it was a sort of validation that it wasn't me, it was the situation/manager, and I feel more confident that I can navigate shitty times in the future
@OP: I do think it's probably true, although I think the main cause for "performance" related layoffs taking longer to find a job would be the impact on mindset. You can tell yourself "I shouldn't let it get to me" as much as you want but that nagging feeling lingers.
I always keep a few on the back burner and have buddies at all of the firms on here ready to refer me in a day's notice.
Sorry to hear that A1, keep chin up. @D1 everyone mentions here that layoff may not be performance related. So just wondered if those people bounced back sooner
You should be able to get a job, it just may not be the job you want. If you were let go from one consultancy and want to join another then you should have at least been promoted once at your old firm. Firms are leery of hiring other big consultancy staff without seeing some progress.
I would say at least 90 days no matter the reason. Just getting through a hiring process can take forever.
