Currently I'm in a depressed and indecisive state with very low confidence. My salary is very much below par with respect to my experience.

I'm not prepared to make a switch . Is it ethical to ask my manager to revise the CTC . If yes , how much can I ask . Need your valuable inputs 🙏

Honestly I was going to say the same thing as Manager 1. I feel like Trump and his administration are just doing what they want and nobody can stop them. I fully anticipate that he will run for president again and put an end to term limits. There is going to be no getting him out of office. He wants a dictatorship and that is what we are about to turn into.
Interesting question.. I don't know. I wish they stop any layoffs that might have planned.
Most places have hit layoff targets already by people resigning/retiring except for places they want to absolutely destroy. They’ve already broken the government. Expect a mass hiring spree in 2029.
New president. Republicans are also sabotaging themselves by not getting anything done and pissing off their voter base. Pendulum swinging back probably soon. But 4 years is a long way. So who knows what’s coming? Also, even in the event a Democrat doesn’t get elected, they made the Newsom mistake and fired too many people and caused too many other to resign. There are massive knowledge gaps left behind. They’re going to be desperate once things start falling apart.
Does what the courts say even matter at this point? I could be remembering wrong, but I thought they ordered him to return that mistakenly deported Maryland man and the administration just ignored the order. Unless someone actually stands up and enforces these rulings, I don't see anything stopping the layoffs.
This wasn't a "Maryland" man. He was here illegally....from El Savador
That's a good question. What they've been doing is clearly illegal, but they simply don't care. And with this Supreme Court anything could happen. They already gave him immunity and he seems to think that made him king. It's conceivable the SC will just keep going along with the madness.
Given the news I received yesterday, it appears that they will continue. I was informed that I have 30 days to find a new job, as the company heads into round 2 of layoffs.
By the time the court decides, too many workers will be laid off/resigned.
I feel like I was forced into resignation ,I wanted to stay. I want to go back but there is no guarantee that I would have a job or been let go, I can't live like that
