I have been at my current firm for about 1.5 years, and in that entire time the partner in my group hasn't been out of the office a single time. Is that normal? I can't tell if it's standard for big law partners to not take time off, if the dynamics for my group may be different (only 1 partner in the entire group), or it the partner I work with is just a masochist.

Stocks offered, unlimited PTO, and 70% Medical covered. Offer B. Is at a business much larger…90k salary with 10% bonus and generous stock offering. I’ve practiced litigation in DC for about 5+ years at a larger plaintiffs’ firm, and am considering a switch to a defense firm. Is there any insight to how many billable hours this would require, and how much time that would actually be? For reference, the firm has a 1900 billable hour requirement and the partner said I would have “no problem” fulfilling that based on the work they have.
