Drive up to Mount Royal, grab lunch at marche Jean Talon, and visit the Olympic park. The city is very walkable and public transit is great, so use it as much as you can

2nd SM1’s recommendations (jazz festival should give you good weather and it surprisingly doesn’t take over the entire city in terms of hotels, transport, etc.). Also, afternoon at Mont Royal, bagels at St-Viateur, smoked meat from Schwartz’s, bike along the Lachine Canal. Enjoy! It’s a great city!

Lol..funny how u had to say" we all get along". Happy trip.

@SC1, didn't want to give the impression that I'm dreading a trip with the in-laws 👍

Thanks for the tips everyone. I'm getting back to planning, so I appreciate the input!

At my age either the guys are past their prime, divorced/ing and have to provide half their income to their first wife. Many with kids live on the same street as their ex wives so they can be close to their child. I'm not comfortable dating guys like that. On the flip side there are the ones that were never married, which by this age cont

Anyone have advice for advancing in your current role? My co-worker was hired in at manager level but somehow “proved” he was actually doing director level work and got a title promotion and salary increase in less than a year. I also went above and beyond my job as well (covering for him for a month while he was away on paternity leave) while taking on other projects outside of my job title and got zip—no raise or recognition. Any advice would be appreciated!

Hey everyone. I found out we are expecting our first child and I’m really nervous. I got into consulting one year ago and I’m up for promotion this year. With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date. I’ve worked really hard and I’m worried our wonderful news will throw chances with this :(- also if I don’t get promoted pretty sure it’s up or out. Any advice?

I have a few questions for people in consulting roles (both external/internal).

My partner is in corporate banking, but he wants to switch to a consulting/strategy-based role. I noticed people with those jobs typically have an MBA, and also majority of the job ads in similar roles has MBA as either a requirement or preferred qualification. So:

1) does MBA actually improve someone's chance in getting those roles?
2) are there any good Canadian MBA programs you'd recommend?

Thank you all!

Anyone from EY UK could help out that would be great.
I applied to the EY UK Elevate program Audit Senior. My application was rejected and immediately I got another email, confirming my application for Audit Senior - UK wide program.
I logged into my portal and saw that for the Audit Senior - UK wide program it was written "Forwarded as Applicant You have been added as an applicant to this requisition."
Has this ever happened with anyone? Is it a good sign?
