The different faces of terrorism these days. 😔
Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!
A nice comfortable office chair.

My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.

Apply anyway, frame it as a culture fit when asking why leaving. Reach out to friends at other firms and see if they can refer you. Also reach out to randoms outside your network but have a connection to you like past school and company alumni
Stick it out for 2 years instead of 1?
Throw that actively looking switch on in LinkedIn and watch the recruiter flock to you
Appreciate all the advice. The “business outlook” is because my firm isn’t selling or pursuing projects in my background anymore. I know lateral moves are not ideal, but if I don’t go, I may not have a job anyway
Most career websites only have experienced hire vacancies for the senior consultant type positions that I am not yet qualified for. Advice for how to approach recruiting?
H1: please shoot me a note at fishbowlburner94@gmail.com if you have info about an opening
i agree with A1, if someone reaches out to you, sure you can parlay that. If you are talking about bad business outlook, switching 1 year is bad career outlook. Youll recycle entry level position and have to re-do your time to promo. On top, you wont be able to leverage a promo to switch firms again.
Try to stick it out. Jumping after 1 year for a lateral position is not a good look
Ask your classmates at other firms if they are hiring
Huron!!
Never want to jump ship a year in, youll lateral back to another entry level position- just make the best out of it.
Look up the small and mid size firms (ours included) on LinkedIn, find the recruiters in the geographies you're interested in, and send them linkedin messages. Be upfront about why you want to switch and you'll get calls back. Finding talent is a real challenge, and recruiters are hungry.
When did you graduate? A lot of firms allow applications for 18 months post graduation with room for exceptions out to 2 years. Search for campus recruiting emails for companies you want to go to and explain the situation. Alternately, reach out to the generic recruiting mailbox and see if they'll route you to who you need to talk to. Best bet is probably getting a referral.
Do you have other experience? If no, you don’t have much background and should be able to do other things
