Happy Friday y’all

I’d say this is true of LA even back in 2019

If you need a quick interim solution, FreedomPop has hotspots for like $20 that come with up to 700mb of free data a month

Nice, thanks! I'll have to check into that
I've had one for years
Just get a project-fi data only sim - $10 for 1gb
^i like how you think 😎
Hm. How long does 1gb get you? (Sorry not tech savvy at all)..or maybe just where would I go to get one of these/inquire about this stuff?
^im a technotard (techno + retard) 💁🏽
It's based on what you do with it. If you just do work related stuff, it should last at least 1-2 full weeks
What about for like streaming Netflix and stuff for personal use? (Because most of the time I would be at client site working or at hotel connected so really I'm just concerned about home and on the road)
Streaming will take a considerable amount of data especially for devices with big screen. For that, the best would be to have a phone plan with unlimited data and use it as a hotspot
I was thinking about that route actually. Was going to switch to Cricket (because it's cheap and I'm cheap haha)..maybe go unlimited with them? Doesn't that burn through the cell phone battery pretty quickly though?
Not sure about Cricket's coverage. T-mobile should have a better coverage and their unlimited plan is reasonable as I know. Metro should be good too. Yes, it drains your battery. Have a portable battery with you all the time if you can't plug in your phone
Hm. Things to think about 🤔
I think for internet use at the client site, you should be able to use their network. For hotel, if you do some actual work, you should be able to expense it. You pay for the night, so work for 30 mins and the rest is Netflix lol
