What are your thoughts about someone willing to pursue SAP consulting as a career ? Oracle and SAP are standard ERP systems in Fortune/Big companies so even if one joins and learns in 2-3 yrs what are the growth opportunities in SAP ? I do recognize that there are a lot of advanced planning systems out there but in reality is it fair to assume that one can easily plateau off in 5 yrs from a career progression standpoint?SAP Oracle o9 Solutions Blue Yonder Kinaxis Inc.

I think you're overestimating PE comp and underestimating IB comp.
Lol no PE associate is making >$300 all-in.
Yeah at Barclays lol...
It's doable but a little tougher. Also tougher for you since you end up taking a near term pay cut.
Only some mega funds pay the illusive 350 and for a lot that's part stock (50k). Banking comp in the past couple years has met or exceeded PE comp at the assoc level. All in first year at my firm for a to a is 300 assuming you get top bucket.
It's very doable. Seen it happen a ton recently. Though would imagine much easier no later than your first associate year
How would that be a pay cut? Associate 200-250 all in. pe 300-350 or even 350-400
Probably not since I'm ib lol...
