First off good luck PT for us was rough Because of that as well. We just got him to go before we left house each time and didn’t give too many fluids if we knew we’d be out for a while and other than that we just planned around his schedule. It’s not ideal and was thankfully a short time frame for this.
Now my kids is a bit older I just do what we call Superman. Pants down and I’ll have little one put his arms up in air and then pick him where he’s laying across my arms and maneuver him so when he pees it’s over the potty. Warning start working out your lower back and abs because they will be used
FWIW Wife says to use travel potty someplace discreet as people with dogs let them poop and pee outside, but I wonder if there is a social stigma against it.
It’s easy to be discreet. Use the potty in the car (work on that aim! 🤣) and then take the bowl dispose elsewhere. I’ll often move my car to the back of a parking lot. No on even pays attention. Plus i generally think people give you a lot of sympathy.
Travel potty. We have one that we put in the front seat and he can go on. I then dump it out someplace nondescript (e.g., near a bush, down a drain - basically anywhere a dog might lift its leg). Obviously use your best judgement but worked fine for us for the short period until he could hold it.
The above is obviously all related to #1. Fortunately never had any issues with #2.
Travel potty ftw or use a cover seat that fits over most toilets
his bladder holding ability will quickly go up so that this is only a problem for a couple of weeks. Don’t stress it.
Both my kids were two weeks, my youngest surprised us with how fast. Never did the travel potty, trees work. My daughter my wife taught her early on to squat and per for those emergency situations.
Btw it could be some time be fore they are dry through the night. My son 5 or 5.5 and it just happened. My daughter we was just ready.
My 3 yo son had to pop a squat at the National Mall by a tree as there were no longer any portables to access. I laughed. The homeless guy laughed. The cyclist passerby laughed. Just enjoying the moments.
You can’t please everyone all the time. People love to judge parents. Learn to not give to craps about what people say / think generally speaking.
Personally I have pee cups and a travel potty in the cars.
