I have been doing Intermittent fasting for about 6 months and I don't believe in cheat meals. I eat what I want in my eating window and I am losing weight.
You have to find something sustainable and I personally don't think a diet with cheat meals here and there is a good option.
What are your fasting hours?
I think the idea of cheat days is there to help keep you motivated. I, for one, have never bern able to stick to complete elimination diets like the Whole 30. I’ve found that if I allow myself to have something tasty I’m craving once in a while (in moderation), I’m still losing weight but staying motivated enough to otherwise eat clean and healthy.
I don’t see anything really as cheat meals. If I want to eat something a bit more unhealthy I just do a better job of portion control ( aka me eating one slice of pizza vs three). I personally think this is a better mindset to have. There are certain foods I will day I do have a harder time to moderate and won’t keep in the house. But like A2 sometimes having a “cheat meal or a day when your eating more on maintenance level helps with plateaus ( but idk it might just be in my head)
