Sick 41 weeks here! First 16 were the worst I was so depressed. None of the traditional suggestions worked for me really. Make sure you eat before you even get out of bed. Kept Lara bars on my nightstand. Not eating makes it worse so eat whatever the fuck you can even if it’s literally just fries. Now is not the time to worry about eating healthy. Also lemonade over ice in the morning was good. Gum when I thought I was going to puke in a meeting. And finally, vitamin b6 and unisom. These are the active ingredients in Diglecis and they did make me function again. The unisom will make you sleepy but I was willing to take in exchange for lessened nausea. I’ve heard many people get relief through Zofran but my dr was weird about potential side effects.
chewable ginger candy helps! i also boiled ginger in water, strained it, and added a peppermint tea bag to it in a thermos to sip on during a shoot once that helped a lot.
When I told my doctor it was worse as the day went on, particularly at night, she said that meant I wasn’t eating enough throughout the day.
That’s discouraging to hear. Mine is this way right now and I swear I eat ALL. DAY. LONG. I’m so tired of eating and most things that I normally like that are healthy are a turnoff right now. And eating too much has the same effect. I get full so fast and it makes me feel sick. Though I have started taking unisom before bed and it has helped a little.
Unisom and b6 at night saved me.
Talk to your doctor. I had severe morning sickness throughout my pregnancy. Ginger candies didn’t cut it. They put me on a combo of Unisom and Zantac - which made life bearable even though I still through up all the time. That and very small meals. And nausea sea sickness bands for whenever I was on a train or in a car.
Solidarity here. I got so tired of everyone saying I’d feel better that I just embraced I finally wouldn’t. I’ll never forget getting home from the hospital after birth and eating a whole chicken.
I took Diclegis and it saved me. Lemonade was also nice, but nothing worked like Diclegis. It also helped me to have an emergency ziploc in my bag at all times - knowing I could puke into it helped calm my anxiety about where I would puke when in meetings or at the client’s office. Good luck!
Like you would puke in a bag in a meeting?
That stinks to be going through, I’m so sorry! My SIL has to get acupuncture to help. Mine wasn’t so bad, I just lived on the Pregnancy Pop Candies:
Three Lollies Preggie Pop Drops | Assorted for Morning Sickness Relief | Sour Raspberry | Green Apple | Sour Lemon | Sour Tangerine | 21 Drops https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005AYE8UE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_3ef6Db54TDBF4
Couldn't live without the diclegis.
Red hot fireballs were the only thing that worked for me. I left trails of those little wrappers all over the agency.
