Hmmm I can't be too specific but somewhere near south east asia where the marketing is booming. But I miss the states so much
What country you have moved? Market is a bit tough but there are ups and downs. It's hard to predict what will happen after a year. I'd suggest keep in touch with us and we can keep sharing insights.

It is not super easy to find projects but better than last year in FS.
Thanks SA1! Yeah I was in FS and knew it took extra long to get people staffed
Yup I rolled off at the end of August and it's taken me a few weeks to find a new project. Also leadership is encouraging you to seek projects outside of your immediate group if they have a need. So you can take Risk & Reg if you are Asset Management for example.
Btw. Are you an Associate who was denied h-1 in the lottery? If so glad you were able to find a role at a pwc member firm.
Yeah didn't win the gold lottery ticket lol. Hurt me so much so still recovering
It's ok careers are a marathon not a sprint. On the bright side you are getting work experience in Asia.
We miss you bud!!! Come back home!!!
Haha very sweet of you PwC2 :) is you group hiring? lol
@SA1 yeah that's how I'm interpreting it. Might be able to differentiate myself with this experience in the future
Op, I'm in the same boat with you. Didn't win lottery and joined another member firm last year. Who did you speak to about coming back to the US? How did you tell them you want a permanent move not a secondment?
PwC3. I haven't started talking to anyone yet. I would say your hr person and some of your contacts back in the states. To be honest just treat it as looking for a new job and network with people. That's what I did when I joined the member firm.
I would be cautious- seems like layoffs are a thing right now
Op: curious whether your family is in the Asian city or you just jumped to a new location?
SA1, I'm Chinese but I didn't move back to China.
A1, that's what I'm worried about. Market here is doing very well. It's just I really miss life back in the states.
If in HK, maybe stay there for a bit. I have heard the deal market in HK is very strong.
