When delta extended status to 2023 United emailed about it being easier to qualify. You only need 3,000 PQP by nov 30th now for 1K

I fly a lot between TX, CA, and NY for family and work travel isn’t coming back anytime before Jan 2022. I don’t want to lose top level status. I can easily spend $2,250 on Delta booking holiday travel, but idk if I can hit 18,750 miles unless I get some kind of multiplier/bonus miles. Anyone have any insights into the Delta Status Match program that can tell me if I can do this?

Yes but I am not on Delta yet. So to status match, you get 3 months “probation” and in that period you have to meet the requirements in the screenshot to keep that level of status. I can easily spend $3000-4000 for vacation/family travel in 3 months with the holidays coming up, but I won’t be able to hit the $7,xxx I’d need to keep 1K with United by the end of Jan 2022 (how far they extended status out to)
Delta doesn’t allow for status matches to Diamond, which is the equivalent of United 1K.
If you want to match to Platinum, then yes your comments above are correct. MQMs are based on distance and fare class, so first class tickets will help.
Like EY2 said, you cannot status match to Diamond (there might have been a one-off/targeted promotion at some point, it’s worth checking TPG or OneMileAtATime for this).
See my other comment below, though: this year you “only” need to spend a total of ~$8600 to get to Diamond (flying on Delta planes with ticket sold by Delta), plus fly whatever the bonus-adjusted total works out to be for MQMs or MQSs.
What EY2 said, plus I this year you get 1.75x MQM, MQD and MQS when you fly paid first class, business or Comfort+ (even if it’s paid in miles), sold by Delta and flown on Delta.
There is a similar bonus this year for Main Cabin, 1.5x, which also applies to both paid and redeemed tickets, again only if sold and operated by Delta.
That’s on top of the 100% or 50% bonus MQMs you always get when you fly paid first or business class (on any SkyTeam airline).
