Question for logistics & operations managers. What's the biggest obstacle keeping you and your coworkers from performing at your highest level?

The biggest obstacle is a lack of resources. We need more money to buy better equipment, hire more staff, and expand our operations. Without the necessary resources, we are limited in what we can achieve.

For me, my biggest obstacle is our suppliers, we are a small company therefore we cannot afford to deal with the most responsible suppliers, therefore we have irresponsible suppliers, despite this I play with time and we almost always comply with our clients.

You always have a new obstacle as a logistics manager, in our company it has gone from the suppliers that have already been settled to the distributors, right now we have problems with our vendors, they are not achieving the necessary sales and we have not been able to empty the deposits.

Well for my company the biggest logistical problem is our CEO, he is a disaster, he offers impossible delivery dates and makes the whole company work under a single order that he offered to a new client, obviously the order is not achieved in the time that he tells and we usually lose clients, but he always has new lies for new clients.

Thinking of switching employers. Do you think bigger retail stores (the ones that have several locations) are easier or harder to work at than little hole-in-the-wall grocery stores (which is all I've ever done)? It seems like the larger chain stores would have more downtime, but I'm wondering if anyone could give some input.
