I either sign up for a new card when I know I need to make a big purchase or just run every single expense through the credit card. Typically not too hard to reach the spend goals.
And yeah just pay it off as you go similar to if you were paying with cash/debit. I like to do it every few days, but some do it more infrequently.
I ask family and friends if they have any big purchases they need to make. If so, they just Zelle or Venmo me the amount and I purchase it with my card.
I just go buy random things until I hit the target. Usually got the target in a week or 2.
You can’t return it or they will not count toward the reward target.
I spend about $4k/month. Those limits are reached pretty quickly

I pay my rent to hit the spend. It doesn’t affect your utilization if you pay it off before your statement closes
Yes, pay the whole balance. I’m doing a lot of this on my AMEX platinum, except the mortgage. (Can’t do the mortgage on a credit card.) Just don’t utilize more than half of your total credit line. If you can keep it under a third, even better.
The perks are worth it.
I usually go shopping for the whole family.
I pay everything possible with my card with the most points (bills, food, groceries, kids school) whatever I can and pay off everything in full each month.

Everything I can put on it I do. Give it to my girlfriend to use and just have her zelle me. Car premium on it. Pay it daily.
Every 6 months I increase limit to ensure I can can put all spending on there yet stay below 10%. I also pay down my balance EVERY Monday, which is great for credit score
If I can charge it, I do. Always pay off the full balance monthly.
People who look at credit cards this way are the same people back in the 50s who would sit at their kitchen table clipping coupons. “Ten dollars off if I spend $100?? I can’t afford not to buy it!”
Which card do you have?
